The trillium is a native flower of Southern Oregon. Known for it bright white petal and large leaves. When I came upon my first one I was intrigued by the contrast of the snow white against deep green. Because I don't use paint I wanted to capture the feel of the dramatic color in another way. I decided to create a completely copper trillium. Treated with heat and shocked in water I was able to create intense color that would reflect the same drama. Please keep out of the reach of children.
