The medium size of the June series. With the two medium pieces in the series I wanted to draw in all the different elements of the field. I wanted to capture what the field felt like from a bees perspective. Colorful, full of life, a bit of chaos. I knew texture and color would play a large part in the series, so I challenged myself to see how many colors I could develop through different chemical methods. The reds of the poppies, browns of the earth and dying grasses, even the deep blues from that spring sky. All play a part in telling the story of the day spent in that field. I created the June series in hopes you too could bring home a piece of that inviting field.
